39 Week Pic

OMG....One more week really?

I can hardly believe that we are 39 weeks in and only one more week to go! Now technically, Dr. Moon will let us go as far as 41 weeks, it's still crazy to think that there really is light at the end of the tunnel!

I had another appointment today and we've had more progress! So here is the breakdown:
36 weeks: 1 cm dilated & 70% effaced
37 weeks: 1 cm dilated & 70% effaced
38 weeks: 1.5 cm dilated & 70% effaced
39 weeks: 2 cm dilated & 90% effaced

Dr. Moon said his is really low and he could come any day now. I will have another appointment next Friday if he doesn't make his appearance any sooner. At that time we will discuss what our game plan is from there.

All I can say for now is....Come on Parker, Mommy and Daddy can't wait to meet you:)

Another day down....How many more to go?

That's a mighty good question! Technically I have 20 more days to go before I reach my "official" due date. 20 days seems like an awfully long time, but I know it will pass quickly and you never know, the little man could make his appearance long before then!

I've had my 36 and 37 week appointments recently. At both appointments I was dilated 1 cm (yay for a centimeter!) and 70% effaced. So while this little boy is making progress he still has a long way to go. The doctor said his head is down and while she doesn't know when he will be here it could be any time. She said right now our target is still our due date.

It's unbelievable to think that over 37 weeks have gone by and we are nearing the end. I think Josh and I are getting a bit more anxious and nervous. It's scary to think that it's only a matter time before we will be parents. For me, I'm more anxious about the fact that I don't know when it's going to happen. I'm such a planner and this is the ONE thing that I have NO control of whatsoever. With that said, I'm taking it day by day and as am prepared as I can be for the time to come!

Parker's nursery is officially done. I am so proud of the work that we put into it and think it's absolutely adorable, but of course I am a little biased. I will include pictures below.

That is all for now....maybe the next time I post Parker will be here!!!

So many great things...

So it's been awhile since I last posted. The last month has been a very busy one, but I'm not complaining. I'm a little over 6 weeks away from my due date and I can't believe it's approaching so quickly. Parker has been very wiggly and making his mommy uncomfortable! But lets get to the all the action that has taken place....

Over the July 18th weekend we were up in Port Washington, WI for a family friend's wedding (Congrats go out to Laurie & Christopher!). It was a very nice weekend minus the traffic and construction getting there!

After that Josh's parents stayed with us for the week. It was so nice to be able to spend time with them as we do not get to see them as often as we would like. We went out to dinner a few nights, had movie night in and then went to see the new Harry Potter.

That Friday my mom came up and me, her, and Candy went out shopping for the baby shower. I also had a doctor's appointment. My blood pressure was a little high, but it had dropped during my appointment. Of course my feet are swollen as well so they are just going to keep an eye on me.

The next day was my baby shower! It was fantastic. We had LOTS of good, a couple of games, and LOTS and LOTS of presents to open. This little boy is so spoiled and we are so grateful for all the gifts we received. We have such good family and friends and we can't thank them enough.

Oh and my work shower was on the 22nd....My co-workers rock as well. They also gave me some pretty awesome gifts!

Last Sunday was Amber's baby shower so it was off to NW Indiana I went. I got to hang out with my girls for the drive up. While it was a long day, it was a very nice shower and so happy that Amber got lots of fun presents as well.

We had our 4D Ultrasound on Friday. The first time we went Parker was NOT cooperative whatsoever. He decided to hide the entire time and we weren't able to get any pictures of his face. This time he was MUCH better. He showed his precious little face which I absolutely fell in love. He without a doubt has my nose and everybody tells me he has my lips too. He has the cutest pudgy cheeks. Josh and I couldn't have been any happier to see this little person that will be coming to us so soon!

This week I've tried to relax as much as possible. I go back to the doctor on Friday for a check up. Parker's room is slowly coming together and Josh has gotten many of his presents put together....Pack 'n Play, Stroller, Bouncer, Swing and a bookcase for his room. My house is a disaster area, but I'm not worrying about it as I realize that this is probably what my house will look like for many years to come with all the toys!

I'll post some pictures below of the recent events and will keep you updated as to how the doctor's appointment goes on Friday!

It's all downhill from here....

At least that's what my mother told me! I'm officially in my 3rd Trimester. I can't believe that it's here already. I've actually enjoyed being pregnant, but now part of me is ready for this little one to get here! I know Josh is for sure:)

Everything went well at my 28 week appointment. The ultrasound looked good and Dr. Moon did not see any issues with his kidneys. AND he was more cooperative for the camera this time!!! I also did my glucose test this time around. Everybody was telling me how horrible it would be and how gross the glucola tasted, but I actually did not find it that bad...maybe it was because I was expecting it to be a lot worse! Little man's heartbeat was 130 bpm during the ultrasound, but was up to 145 bpm by the time we got into see the doctor. Gotta love all the sugar! I didn't receive any follow-up calls so that means the high risk doctor did not find any issues with his kidneys and I must have passed the glucose test. Yay for no gestational diabetes!!!!

I go back to the doctor on Friday for a check-up. I'm now to the point where I go every two weeks and then it will be once a week starting my last month. OH, the baby's furniture was also delivered last weekend. It looks fantastic! Can't wait to show off his room:)

That is all for now. I will include the latest ultrasound pictures...he's absolutely adorable if I say so myself!!!!

What's that rocking my belly.....

Oh yes, that would be the little boy in my tummy. I can hardly believe that I am less than 16 weeks away from having this precious little boy. He's such an active little thing and stubborn all at the same time. I've had two ultrasounds now and he has yet to give me a good picture of his little face. I think we are in for a long road ahead of us once he's born!!!

We had our first ultrasound approximately 4 1/2 weeks ago. That's when we got to see his beating heart, cute little feet and, well, his "boy parts". And boy oh boy, did he show those parts proudly. Certainly no denying that he is our little man. We had to go back last week for another ultrasound as they could not see his stomach clearly enough. They were worried that his stomach was too small, but after this one they found he has a perfectly big tummy and he was swallowing fluids properly. As Josh put it, "if he's my boy, he knows how to eat!"

I go back for my next doctor's appointment on June 26th. I actually have to have another ultrasound on that day as they are now concerned about some mild dilation is in his right kidney. I was definitely freaked out at first, but I'm sure everything is fine. Still scary though! I will also be doing my glucose test......YUCK. I'm so not looking forward to it, but I know it's all for a good cause.

Overall, my pregnancy has gone rather smoothly. I never got true "morning sickness" and this 2nd trimester has been pretty great. Josh is quite impressed with all of my energy. Granted I could do without the back pain, nose bleeds (yes, nose bleeds), and leg cramps, but I wouldn't trade any of it for the world. We registered for the baby last weekend. I don't know that I would ever do that again. It was quite overwhelming with everything to choose from. I didn't know what some stuff was, even though I did a ton of research before hand. Oh well, hopefully I picked out some good stuff!

I will try to keep this updated with all the baby happenings. And maybe next time, I can get a good picture of this guy to post. If not, my wonderful friend Amber (yes you received a shout out) got me a gift certificate for my birthday to have a 4D ultrasound. I will probably have that at Week 30, so not too far away!
